I have never been to a chiropractor before so at first I was a little skeptical and just a bit fearful. But, I can tell you that ever since I have been going to DeCloedt Chiropractic, I have never felt better! Dr. Shawn and his team are excellent. Everyone is so courteous and professional. Dr. DeCloedt is a real gem! I can now exercise without being in extreme pain. It has really made a difference.

Born with a congenital neck problem, I’ve suffered through neck pains and headaches my whole life, and never really sought treatment.  When I was in my 20’s I was injured in a car accident, and my left arm began to lose feeling.  I also discovered that I had arthritis in my neck, which further contributed to the constant aches and pains.  A few years after my accident, I hurt my lower back, but still didn’t seek help.

 After a while, I decided I would try chiropractic care.  I started seeing a chiropractor for regular adjustments, but after a month my back was hurting worse than ever, and my faith in chiropractors completely shattered.  At that point I decided to swear off chiropractors forever.

 I met Dr. DeCloedt and his wife, Miriam, at the Simi Valley Town Center during one of his outreach efforts.  At that point my fingers had started to go numb and I was still suffering the same aches and pains.  It was like fate.  There was just something about him and his wife that spoke to me.  He started talking about the wonderful impact chiropractic care had made on his own family, and I could just tell that he was an honest person.  After my first adjustment with Dr. DeCloedt, I had an overwhelming sense of relief and trust- you just don’t find that very often.  I was comfortable, and I had faith that Dr. DeCloedt was really taking care of me.

 It’s been 8 months now since I first started my treatment plan.  I see Dr. DeCloedt regularly for maintenance care, and have been feeling good.  I feel like with Dr. DeCloedt’s care, my body has been able to heal, and stay in a good place.  I have very few headaches these days, and hardly ever experience the numbing and tingling sensations that were such a regular occurrence before.  I’ve referred many people to Dr. DeCloedt, sharing with them my own story of success.

Before I started seeing Dr. DeCloedt, my hip had been in pain for over a year.  I really had no idea why I was in so much pain, and the physical therapy and orthopedics I was prescribed didn’t seem to be working.  I had already been taking quite a few medications for my Muscle Dystonia, as well as had a nerve stimulator to assist with alleviating headaches, so the added stress was getting frustrating.

 My husband knew Dr. DeCloedt from the BMX bike track, and encouraged me to make an appointment to see him.  After three weeks with Dr. DeCloedt, my hip was already starting to feel better, and I felt like the chiropractic treatment I was receiving was really helping with the Muscle Dystonia as well.

 It’s been 6 months now, and I’ve been able to turn off the nerve stimulator and stop taking prescribed medications.  It’s amazing how much better I feel without them- you don’t realize when you’re on medications just how much your senses are repressed.  I feel so thankful for simply being able to smell again!

 Freed from medication, I feel Dr. DeCloedt’s chiropractic care is what has made my story a real story of success.
